Thanks Dennis and Carol! Last year that was all I could say over the first Winter National sponsored by Klien RC MotorSports. I had a ton of fun, not only racing in the electric classes, but also watching the other races. There was absolutely some good racing. This year Dennis has got a few special treats up his sleeve in addition to racing in the following classes.

Nitro Stadium Truck Asphalt Figure 8 - This a Free race to the first 20 who sign-up. There will be NO CORNER MARSHALS-Where you die is where you lie. Almost anything goes .18 -.12 engines 1/8 scale fuel tanks, any tires, must have a 1/10-scale body.

• Friday Night in between rounds 1 & 2. (10 trucks)
• Saturday Night in between round 3 and Mains. (10 trucks)

This is a fun race; so bring your cameras it could get ugly. Winner takes all.

Schedule

• Wednesday 22nd - Club Race and Asphalt Non-Wing Expert Sprint Show - 7pm Gates open at 3pm.
• Thursday 23rd - Open Practice from 3-10pm.
• Friday February 24th - Open Practice from 12- 5pm, 1st & 2nd Rounds of Qualifying.Races start at 6pm.
• Saturday February 25th - Controlled Practice by Class (10 Car Max), 3rd round of Qualifying, and Double A Mains (If a tie results, winner will be decided by laps/time)

Gates open at 9am ~ Races start at Noon.

At my last count there were 60 some racers entered, expectations that total entries will exceed 100; so be prepared for last minute changes.

The sponsor list has grown bigger this year, Door Prize drawings will be held Friday Night.

Last years winners of the Klein RC MotorsSports 2005 Winter Nationals will be there to defend their titles: Chris Cramer, Joe Doucette, “Popeye” and Raymond McCoy.

Other notable racers: RCSM’s own Billy Fisher**, Chad Smith, from Oklahoma Greg Bridgewater, Tim McNutt from Tennessee, “Hollywood” Billy Baureman from up North somewhere.

Will Out Front Frames be able to take the manufactures cup home again!

Tim Heit from AZRCUS.Com and the “lean” RCSM Correspondant will be there taking pictures. I have heard that a correspondant from RC Driver Magazine will be on hand.

I could go on and on about the fun I had last year, I expect it will be bigger and better this year! With the changes, new sponsors, this year’s race will be something to be a part of. Don’t miss it, whether as a racers or spectator. Come on out!
