3rd Annual 4th of July Pan Car Shootout
Presented by the AZ Pancar Club

Can you believe it’s been a year since the Pan Cars took over R/C Sports Mania in the middle of the summer to have a race?!

With the outside temperatures soaring around the 110 degree mark?

Not being on the 4th of July anyway?

Another race?

RC Arizona

This little event has grown from only a few cars the first year to over 30 entries last year. From the original sponsor of the event-RCSM Webmaster Danny “Boone” Wilson, to last year of having real to life honest to goodness R/C Industry Sponsors. This year has the promise to be better with more entrants and more Sponsors. From what I have read, racers have been clamoring for this event, more so than last year.

Anyways...

The 2006 4th of July Pan Car Shootout is being presented by the Arizona Pancar Club this year, and hosted again by R/C Sports Mania Raceway on July 8th in Phoenix, Arizona. Entry fee is $25.00 for the 1st Class entry, and $15.00 for each additional class entered.

Trophies to be awarded to each class winner

And to the
2006 4th of July Pan Car Shootout Champion
Two NasCar Tickets to the Checker Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix International Speedway in November, 2006

Additionally, T-Shirts are guaranteed to all pre-entries, get your entry sheet at RCSportsMania.Com (link below) or the events page of the AZ Pancar Club website - download it and send them in. For those who dally around, T-shirts to the first 50 entrants on the day of the event (*minus pre-entries recieved after 6/24th, our shirt order deadline from shirt company). Entry registration closes at 6:45PM on July 8th.

Event Classes

1/10 NASCAR 4 Cell Stock
1/10 NASCAR 4 Cell 19T
1/10 NASCAR 4 Cell Mod

All Cars will be inspected for compliance with ROAR Rules as modified by the Arizona Pan Car Cub for body, motor and car weight. ROAR membership is not required. Foam Tires only, and batteries to 3800 mah for all classes. Brushless Motors ok in modified class only. No Li-Poly batteries. Jerry Findley, with the assistance of Rick Findley will be the tech inspectors for the event.

There will be great Door Prizes to be raffled off.

Last year’s event was absolutely one of the best ever. Special people like Danny “Boone”, Gary, Cinda, Chris, Mike L, and Mike B. are dedicated to ensuring the best possible support for each and every racer. The racers are the best yet. With the 2 past 4th of July PCSO Champions: Wes Fukashima and Raymond McCoy returning; and the reigning AZPC 2006 4c Novice Stock State Champion, Jordan McCunn and 2006 4c Stock State Champion; Perry Holland you know the field will be fast! Then with several other “Hot shoe’s” and locals like (Alan Hanna, Jim Hock, Gary McAlister, Ryan Greenwald (previous 19t record holder), Scott Mcunn, Mike Fleek, Eric and HyperDrive Pro-Driver Jeff Helms (new 19t record holder)). Rumor has it, that a few of our long lost legends from pancar racing days may be coming out of retirement to race as well. They will be there to contest the outcome of this Pan Car Shoot Out!

If you don’t race - come out and join me in the “Peanut Gallery”. Anytime the aforementioned people, the members of the AZ Pan Car Club and RCSM’s local racers get together - well, I personally guarantee some good racing. Add to that reuniting with old friends and making new ones you have an event that you’ll be sorry you missed.

Best of Show

To add there will be a Best of Show event sponsored by McAllister Racing RC Bodies & Accessories. Voting for the best looking body will be conducted between the Heat races and Main event during the car line-up. Winner will have their car featured on the RCSM's website.
